I’ll be talking more about this in detail later on, but for now they’ve added my gallery show to the upcoming events section on Visart’s website. If you’re around on August 3rd, I’d love to see as many of you come out for the opening as possible. I plan on having wine and will attempt a live reading of some gross comics.

I tried coloring this story. I tried 2 or 3 different styles, from modern styles to a retro style aping 1950’s coloring, but nothing was working. I just couldn’t get it right.
Thank Jebus for Wendi Strang-Frost. She made my doodles look really pretty and brought this story to a new level of awesome.
Two days before the Asbury Park Comic Con, I find a stash of my first ever comic. DUCK! was so much a part of my growing up on the NJ shore that finding these shortly before heading to a show that is being held right around where I grew up feels like a good sign. I may bring a few with me, or perhaps offer anyone who held on to one of these 20 year old comics (and brings one to the show) some free Plastic Farm.
Process shots done while doing the lettering for a couple of stories in the upcoming ONCE UPON A TIME MACHINE anthology, which will be coming out from Dark Horse Comics later this year. I think they’re trying to debut it at NYCC, but I don’t know that for a fact. Anyway, this is what I did this weekend.
